Bonus Automation Guide: End Manual Processes
How can you automate bonus management? Everything you need to know about rule engines, AI-powered distribution, and abuse prevention.

Why bonus automation matters
Bonus management is one of the processes operators spend the most time on. Manual approval, setup and distribution cost time and invite mistakes. More importantly, a manual process does not run overnight. If a player who deposits on Friday evening receives their bonus on Monday morning, the campaign has already lost its effect.
Bonus automation removes that delay and distributes the bonus budget by behaviour rather than at random.
The four components of automation
1. Rule engine
Trigger rules are defined using parameters such as deposit amount, game type, losing streak and VIP tier. A rule has three parts:
- Trigger — the behaviour that starts it (a deposit, a losing streak, inactivity)
- Condition — what must hold for the bonus to be granted (segment, minimum amount, frequency cap)
- Reward — amount or rate, wagering requirement, validity period
All three are defined from the panel; no code required.
2. AI-assisted distribution
AI analyses player behaviour and determines the most suitable bonus automatically. The same budget goes to the player most likely to convert instead of being spread evenly across everyone. This scope is offered in the Enterprise package.
3. Abuse prevention
The bonus engine does not work alone; it runs together with the Risk and Fraud module. A five-process parallel fraud algorithm detects bonus abuse in real time and blocks it according to your rules. The claim is checked the moment it arrives, not after payout.
4. Instant crediting
The bonus reaches the player account the moment it is granted. Zero waiting time, no manual approval step.
Four common mistakes
| Mistake | Consequence | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The same bonus for every player | Wasted budget, weak return | Segment-based triggering |
| Rules with no frequency cap | The same player benefits repeatedly | A frequency limit in the condition |
| Fraud checks after payout | Losses that cannot be recovered | Check at claim time |
| Campaigns with no measurement | Nobody knows which rule made money | Measure against a control group |
The fourth is the one most often skipped. Whether a bonus rule works can only be established when part of the same segment deliberately does not receive it.
Measurement: no control group, no result
The Journey module builds every flow with a target event and a control group. That replaces "we gave a bonus and deposits went up" with "the group that received the bonus deposited this much more than the group that did not". Journey is one of the features of the Professional package.

What is in which package?
- Starter — the Bonus Engine can be taken as the core module choice (chosen against Affiliate + Link Masking)
- Professional — the Bonus Engine and Affiliate are both included, and Journey adds measured flows
- Enterprise — AI-assisted bonus distribution and extended risk coverage are added
In closing
Manual bonus management does not scale: as player numbers grow, the team grows, errors grow and delay grows. When the rule engine, fraud checks and measurement are set up together, the bonus budget stops being a cost line and becomes a manageable investment.
